Cheap flights from the UK to Orlando
Flights are usually the biggest single cost, so this is where flexibility pays off most.
Quick version
- MCO is the main airport; Melbourne (MLB) is about an hour from the parks; Sanford has no current direct UK flights (checked 19 Oct 2026).
- Virgin Atlantic flies direct to MCO from Heathrow and Manchester (plus seasonal Edinburgh).
- British Airways flies direct to MCO from Gatwick; TUI flies seasonally to Melbourne.

Which Orlando airport?
- Orlando International (MCO): the main airport, and where the Visitor Toll Pass is collected CFX.
- Melbourne Orlando (MLB): on the Space Coast, about an hour's drive from the parks. TUI flies here seasonally from UK airports including Gatwick and Manchester TUI. Count the transfer or car-hire time.
- Orlando Sanford (SFB): smaller and further north. TUI moved its Florida flights from Sanford to Melbourne, and we found no current direct UK flights to SFB (last checked 19 Oct 2026).

UK departure airports
- Virgin Atlantic flies direct to MCO daily from London Heathrow and Manchester, plus a seasonal Edinburgh service (summer 2026 ends 26 Oct and restarts 31 Mar 2027) Virgin Atlantic.
- British Airways flies direct to MCO from London Gatwick British Airways.
- Norse Atlantic also flies non-stop Gatwick to MCO, its only US route this winter TravelMole.
- TUI flies seasonally to Melbourne (MLB) TUI.
Routes change every season, so check with the airline before you plan around one. Last checked 19 Oct 2026. Connecting via a US or European hub can be cheaper, but it adds time and some risk on the connection.
