UK airport parking for Orlando flights: tips and how to compare

Two weeks in Florida means 14 or more nights of airport parking, and the on-the-day price can cost more than a day at a theme park. Here's how to pay less without risking your car.

Quick version

Compare airport parking for your dates

Pick your airport and dates. We'll build ready-made searches on the main parking sites and the airport's own site, so you can compare them in one go. We don't show prices yet. Each link opens that company's own search. We're working on ranking the cheapest option for you automatically.

Links checked 20 Oct 2026. Your choices stay in your browser and we don't store them. These aren't affiliate links: we don't earn anything if you book (see how we make money).

1. Book early, then keep checking

Pre-booked parking is almost always cheaper than turning up on the day. Holiday Extras' own table shows big gaps between on-the-day and pre-booked prices at Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and Heathrow Holiday Extras. Prices change with demand, so book once your flights are confirmed. If the booking has free cancellation, check again a few weeks before you go and rebook if it's cheaper.

Some sites refund the difference if you find the same product cheaper. Holiday Extras and Purple Parking do this within 24 hours of booking Purple Parking. Edinburgh Airport says "no one sells our car parking for less" for its own car parks Edinburgh Airport.

2. Meet & greet, park & ride or on-airport?

As APH puts it, most of the decision "comes down to how much you want to pay for the walk" APH.

3. Watch for extras that aren't in the headline price

4. Is it safe? Check for Safer Parking (formerly Park Mark)

The police-backed Park Mark award is now called Safer Parking. It has been run directly by Police CPI since 1 April 2026, and there's a separate Safer Parking Meet and Greet award Safer Parking UK. You can search for accredited car parks at saferparkinguk.com. The old parkmark.co.uk address redirects there.

Gatwick's checklist for avoiding rogue operators works for any airport Gatwick Airport:

  1. Be wary of prices far below everyone else's.
  2. Read recent independent reviews for complaints about damage, lost keys, late returns or extra mileage.
  3. Check for a registered company address, Companies House details and where your car will actually be kept.
  4. Look for Park Mark/Safer Parking, British Parking Association membership or Trading Standards "Buy With Confidence".
  5. Check the security: CCTV, fencing, controlled access, patrols, lighting and key storage.
  6. Understand the insurance and how to claim if something goes wrong.

Before you hand the car over, photograph every panel and the mileage, and take your valuables out. Gatwick also lists its approved operators on the same page.

5. Getting dropped off instead? Drop-off charges at 12 airports

All 20 of the UK's busiest airports now charge to drop off by the terminal. The average went up by about a third in a year, to £7 RAC, July 2026. Many forecourts have no barriers, so you pay online by midnight the next day. Forget, and you can get a parking charge of up to £100. Most airports also have a free option a short shuttle ride or walk away.
