Sales tax is added at the till
US shelf and menu prices usually don't include sales tax. Florida's state rate is 6%, and counties add a surtax (Orange County adds 0.5%) Florida DOR.
Always pay in dollars (USD)
If a card machine offers to charge you "in pounds", say no. That's dynamic currency conversion, and the rate is usually worse. Choose USD and let your card do the conversion.

Tipping
Tipping is expected in the US at sit-down restaurants, and for bar staff, taxi and rideshare drivers, and housekeeping. At restaurants, 15–20% is the typical range, according to Florida's official tourism site VISIT FLORIDA. Check your bill for an "automatic gratuity" so you don't tip twice.
